There is so much career advice online that it can feel overwhelming to know who is actually worth listening to. Over the past few years, I have found a handful of women whose work has genuinely shaped the way I lead work and show up. Their content has helped me become more confident more intentional and more grounded in my own career.
These are the creators I return to whenever I need clarity direction or a reminder of what is possible. Each of them brings something different and each of them has taught me something I use every single week.
Heather Elkington
@leadershipheather
Heather writes one of the most powerful and practical leadership newsletters I have ever read. She has a rare ability to turn big ideas about management into simple lessons you can apply that same day.
What I have learnt from Heather
I have learnt how to set clear expectations with my team, how to communicate decisions with more confidence and how to lead with calm authority even when everything around me feels busy. Heather has helped me realise that good leadership is not about being the loudest voice in the room it is about being the clearest.
Isobelle Panton
@corporateagonyaunt
Isobelle’s content is the definition of direct honest career advice. She talks openly about ambition visibility and the courage it takes to put yourself forward at work.
What I have learnt from Isobelle
I have learnt to speak about my achievements without downplaying them, to share my work with more confidence and to treat visibility as part of my job rather than something to avoid. She has helped me understand that self promotion can feel comfortable when it is grounded in clarity and purpose.
Lily Kyriacou
@lily_kyriacou
Lily brings a thoughtful and intelligent perspective to human change and the future of work. She is building a new venture around adaptive intelligence and she shares the process as she goes (super proud to be supporting her on the community building element of this).
What I have learnt from Lily
I have learnt how people adapt during periods of change, what makes a workplace feel psychologically safe and why some teams thrive while others struggle. She has helped me think more deeply about culture design and the type of environments that bring out the best in people.
Grace Beverley
@workinghardpod
Grace has created a brilliant blend of business insight and real world honesty. Her podcast and Instagram presence cut through the noise with advice that feels practical and human.
What I have learnt from Grace
I have learnt to be firmer with my boundaries, to ask for what I need and to stop making myself smaller to keep the peace. Her content is a reminder that your needs are not negotiable and that being ambitious is something to celebrate not hide.
Grace Andrews
@graceandrewsss
Grace left one of the biggest podcasts in the world to build her own creative and entrepreneurial path from scratch. She documents the process in a way that feels brave honest and incredibly refreshing.
What I have learnt from Grace
I have learnt that growth is rarely neat that creative careers take courage and that starting again is a strength not a setback. She shows the messy middle that most people hide and it is one of the reasons her content is so inspiring.
